Join the London Basin Palaeontological Society and become part of a community of fossil collectors, enthusiasts and researchers with a shared interest in palaeontology, the London Basin and Britain’s wider fossil heritage.
Membership helps support the Society’s work, including fossil recording and identification, field activities, research, educational resources, and the development of our fossil database.

Who can join?
LBPS welcomes anyone with an interest in fossils, palaeontology, or the geology of the London Basin, whether you are an experienced collector, a complete beginner, a student, a researcher, or simply curious to learn more.
You do not need to own a fossil collection or have any specialist knowledge to become involved. The Society is about sharing knowledge, learning from one another and encouraging responsible fossil collecting and recording.
